Tropical Coral Sunrise is one in a series of abstracts that Sonia has painted in her unique style to capture the magic of the underwater world through the eyes of a free diver. Her family have an affinity with the ocean and with a free diving hubby it was only a matter of time before the gifts of the ocean showed up in her work. “I was trying to capture that moment when the suns rays hit the surface of the ocean and refract light downwards toward the swirls and eddies of the current and the seaweed and coral reef beyond.
